Arrowhead Games Aims to Become the Next From Software or Blizzard
Arrowhead Games, known for the success of Helldivers 2, aims to remain independent while aspiring to reach the status of renowned studios like Blizzard and From Software. Johan Pilestedt, Arrowhead’s chief creative officer, expressed his desire for the studio to achieve great heights without being acquired.
Helldivers 2, a co-op third-person shooter, has sold 12 million copies in three months, becoming PlayStation’s fastest-selling game. This success has prompted speculation about Arrowhead’s future, but the studio remains committed to its independence.

Pilestedt emphasized the importance of retaining creative control and growing the company without losing its core values. The studio’s goal is to create exceptional co-op games and become a flagship studio where talented developers aspire to work. Shams Jorjani, the new CEO, shares this vision and believes in measured growth to maintain quality and a positive work environment.
