It’s really heart-wrenching news for every Devil is a Part-Timer! fan (including us). It was a gem that was released decades ago, but now its manga’s final chapters are here.

The hype was real when the anime adaptation created a sensation amongst fans. It was the first manga of its kind where villains were reincarnated into our modern world.

When there was no buzz around Isekai anime in that era, we watched shows that did everything right, things today’s Isekai anime couldn’t.But sadly, now it’s time.

We can say goodbye to our devil king and his comrades, along with the legendary hero.

Overview:

As said, the manga version of the beloved comedy Isekai series, The Devil is a Part-Timer! is officially announced to be coming to a conclusion after a successful run of 13 years.

It all started when its light novel began publishing in 2011, written by Satoshi Wagahara and illustrated by Oniku.

Then soon after, a manga version came out that was drawn by Akio Hiragi.

The last and final edition of the book, Volume 24, is going to be released in Japan on June 26, 2025, and for the English version copy, Yen Press is going to work on it, so that it is published for an international audience as well.

Farewell, MgRonald’s: The Devil is a Part-Timer! Manga Ends After 13 Years:

With the recent announcement of the manga coming to an end, we can say all sources for the series The Devil is a Part-Timer! came to an end as well.

The light novel series ended back in 2022, whereas the newly released season 2 of the show ended in 2023.

Henceforth, the only active project for the series is Hataraku Maou-sama no Meshi!, which is an ongoing series, basically a slice-of-life spin-off manga showing the daily life of favourite characters and revolving around food.

The English title for this is The Devil is a Part-Timer! High School, which puts the characters in an alternate world where they are all placed in a high school student setup.

Satan, our main protagonist, is a teenager trying to rule over the student council, while Emilia is a newly transferred student who still challenges him at every turn.Luckily, this spin-off is also available in English from Yen Press.

Moreover, the anime adaptation of the series first started in 2013 with 13 episodes, and after decades of waiting, we got season 2 of the series in 2022, with a second season split into two parts with 12 episodes each.

The final episode of the series was completed in 2023, and for now, there is no official announcement on whether the whole manga story will be getting an anime adaptation for more seasons, because of low performance after the release of season 2.

Well, it was expected, because after the season 1 hype, people were assuming they would definitely get season 2 very soon because of its massive fan base.

But sadly, it declined as too many anime emerged and the series didn’t get as much hype as before.

Still, if you haven’t watched it yet, this is your sign to read or at least watch season 1 of the show because it’s a banger. It’s better than 90% of Isekai anime released nowadays. So, don’t ever try to sleep on this one.
