Mystery Anime You’ll Regret Starting at Midnight | Part 2

If Part 1 wasn’t enough for you to watch the mystery anime, here are a few more anime to keep you awake way longer than you planned and enjoy your halloween weeks.

This time we have recommendations consisting of a creepy orphanage, a genius detective who probably shouldn’t be solving cases (just my pov, he is great though), and a detective who basically has unlimited money, mr Richie rich detective for sure.

So yeah… things are about to get interesting.

The Promised Neverland:

If you somehow haven’t watched (I assume you already know how popular the anime is but just in case you haven’t I have added this to the list) The Promised Neverland yet, go into it knowing as little as possible because once you get spoilers the interesting factor of the series is lost significantly.

The story starts with Grace Field House looking like a completely normal and happy orphanage. The kids live together, study, play and are taken care of by someone they lovingly call Mama (yes, totally wholesome scenario)Everything seems perfect, Literally!!

Until Emma and Norman discover something they definitely weren’t supposed to see. Sigh, and it’s scarier than you can imagine. From there, the whole story changes.

The first season is full of mind games, planning and moments where you genuinely don’t know who is one step ahead.

Just don’t blame me when episode one turns into an entire-night binge.

Warning: I personally didn’t like the season 2 adaptation of the anime, so you can try it but I highly recommend reading the manga instead because it’s one of the best ones out there. Thank me later.

Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions:

Now, if you want mystery without making your entire watchlist depressing (yes, because promised Neverland will throw you in despair for sure), try Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions.

Ron is basically your genius, over the top smart detective, when it comes to solving mysteries, but there’s a reason he isn’t supposed to work as a detective anymore. The reason is kinda supernatural. But no spoilers here.

But fortunately he meets Totomaru, a police detective who needs his help, and obviously the two start solving cases together.

Their personalities make the anime really fun, and you still get plenty of mysteries and deductions along the way. Plus it has two seasons, what else we need more than having our favourite anime more episodes to binge.

It’s a good pick when you want something mysterious but also entertaining and funny and trust me on funny things. It’s damn hilarious for sure.

The Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED

Imagine being a detective and your solution to almost every problem is basically: Money. (Yeah, totally batman vibes ifykyk)

The story starts with Daisuke Kambe being ridiculously rich and uses his wealth, technology and connections for solving mysterious crimes.

On the other hand our main protagonist, Haru Katou, has a completely different approach to being a detective. Yeah, he kinda hates Daisuke in the beginning.

But soon they come together and you get a very entertaining duo. It’s stylish, funny and has plenty of crime and mystery, but there’s also a bigger story surrounding Daisuke and his family that slowly starts unfolding. Yeah family drama is a bonus content.

Come for the millionaire detective. Stay because now you need to know what’s going on.

Wrapping Up:

Finally, we come to this mystery anime watchlist!

Whether you want something creepy like Another and Shiki, emotional like Erased, or just want to watch two chaotic detectives solving cases, there’s something here for every mystery mood.

Now the real question is…Which one are you brave enough to start at midnight? Also, if you haven’t read part 1 of the list, go read them out as well!!
