This Upcoming Romance Anime Might Just Break the Internet; Trailer Just Dropped!

“In a world where societal norms divide, love blooms strongest in the most forbidden places.”
Here comes another reason for romance anime fans to get all fired up, because one of the most anticipated romance anime of the year has now officially released its trailer, and it’s worth checking out!
If you are new to this title, you must know that this one is not your lovey-dovey, slice-of-life romance story that leads to a wholesome plot, but it is much more intense than you expect.
If you watch the trailer closely, you can view vividly colorful high school settings and characters that seem to be wholesome, but the story involves a high school where social status and rivalry are treated like trophies.
The romance between students is judged, and even prejudice leads to the blossoming of forbidden love amongst our main characters.
In the story shared by @NetflixAnime on X, it portrays two of our main protagonists; one from a super rowdy school setup, Rintaro, misunderstood as a bully, and the other is our cutesy little heroine, Kaoruko, gracious and genuinely sweet in demeanor, belonging to the elite Kikyo Girls’ School.
A simple coincidence brings them together as friends, and that soon turns into something beautiful like love.
But as we said, societal norms are still dominant in society; they both face backlash for their growing affection.
Forbidden love blooms in the hallway in The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity:

The story begins with our main protagonist, Rintaro, who is in the second year of high school. He is a sweet and caring guy, but he does look a bit intimidating and scary to some people, who judge only by his facial expressions.
As a good guy and son, he helps his parents out with the family’s pastry shop, and there he meets our sweet heroine, Kaoruko. They soon start reaching out, building connections, and love to hang out.
But the twist is that there is a rivalry between Rintaro’s school, Chidori, and Kaoruko’s high school, Kikyo, which looks down on Rintaro’s high school. And here, complications build between their love life.
There’s not only drama in the story but real sentiments behind every emotion of our main protagonists.
They try to manage their not-so-acceptable love story by hiding their true feelings behind the big blanket of their faces with a smile. It’s a heart-touching story that showcases how they try to get rid of societal pressure with their pure love.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Delivers More Than Just Teen Romance:

Forbidden love is always seen as a curse by a society that clings to its norms. The same is shown in this story, where both high schools try their best with threats, tricks, and even pressure to break apart our two lovebirds.
Regardless of every tactic played by other people, our main protagonists seem to bloom with a fresh fragrance that brings them closer.
If you are interested in real emotions with an in-depth romance story, where every character faces real issues, this show might be your best romance anime of the year; or even the decade.
We hope it becomes a massive hit in the genre, and don’t forget to watch the trailer to get a gist of the show. The anime will be releasing on Netflix this year; let the months roll!
