Ever wonder what are the most viewed YouTube videos of all time?

YouTube is nothing if not varied with its content. 15 years since its humble beginnings, YouTube is something of a worldwide phenomenon with over a billion people using the service, five billion videos being watched daily, and over 30 million visitors every single day. So with a video platform this massive, what kind of videos are the most-watched from the billions of minutes’ worth of content? As of November 2020, the result would seem to be weird children’s video, mainstream music and a sprinkling of K-Pop. Here are the top ten most viewed videos of all time on YouTube (as of the time of this blog being posted).

10. “Sorry”- Justin Bieber- 3.36 Billion Views. Released in 2015.

These eggs will forever haunt my nightmares.

8. “Gangnam Style”- PSY- 3.84 Billion Views. Released in 2012.

We should never forget the Gangnam Style era that world went through. It will be a story to hand down to our children.

7. “Uptown Funk”- Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars- 3.99 Billion Views. Released in 2014.

Damn, this song was a funky bop.

6. “Johny Johny Yes Papa”- LooLoo Kids – Nursery Rhymes and Children’s Songs- 4.14 Billion Views- Released in 2016.

These weird kids videos are so odd to me. I don’t have children but if I did I don’t think I would go to these creepy videos to teach them about not eating sugar lumps.

5. “Recipe for Disaster”- Get Movies- 4.36 Billion Views- Released in 2012.

More animated nightmare fuel for kids with this Russian cartoon about a little girl and a bear. Those 3D models are terrifying.

4. “See You Again”- Wiz Khalifa ft Charlie Puth- 4.79 Billion Views- Released in 2015.

This song is a fitting tribute to the late Paul Walker from Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa.

3. “Shape of You”- Ed Sheeran- 5.05 Billion Views- Released in 2017

Representing us Brits. Nice one, Ed.

2. “Despacito”- Luis Fonsi ft Daddy Yankee- 7.04 Billion Views- Released in 2017.

Forever a meme song. Alexa, play Despacito.

1. “Baby Shark Dance”- Pinkfong! Kids’ Songs & Stories- 7.05 Billion Views- Released in 2016.

Baby Shark has almost as many views as there are people in the world. Let that sink in for a moment.
