Smoliv is the Pokemon this Cruel World Needs
In a world where we all feel like we’re going crazy on a daily basis, Smoliv isn’t just the Pokemon we need, he’s the one we deserve.

A new trailer dropped for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet today, and one little fellow is emerging as the unlikely star of the show. Smoliv, an anxious and terrified little olive, has fans falling in love to the point of stopping what they’re doing and creating art just for him. But, really, on the other hand, is it any wonder?
I mean, obviously, Pokemon fans are wild for this franchise to begin with, but who would have thought that the star of the newest trailer would be a tiny grass-type pocket monster who just can’t cope with it all?

In a world where we all feel like we’re going insane every time we’re so brazen as to open up social media or turn on the news, who could be more relatable than a tiny Pokemon vegetable just trying to cope with the constant onslaught of terror and dread. Is this existential threat what Smoliv has tapped into with his captivating presence?
Honestly, who knows? Certainly, at least one writer for this site feels what Smoliv feels, but can a miniature zeitgeist like this just be the cutest little accident we’ve ever seen? Who’s to say? But to lower your heart rate and let you know you’re not the only one losing it, let us present you with some of the best Smoliv images we’ve found so far.
