The Crunchyroll award is already creating a lot of hype amongst the fans, and it’s going to announce its winner soon.
But before that, Crunchyroll had gone the extra mile to hand over a special award before the main event, and that is to none other than the anime that has created a sensation around the globe; Attack on Titan.
As many fans are expecting their popular choice for the year to win, such as Solo Leveling, Dandadan, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, there will be a surprise award ceremony for the anime Attack on Titan.
According to well-known publishers of Variety, they describe this award as a celebration for creators and stories that created unforgettable memories in the hearts of fans with its characters, culture, and history worldwide.

Attack on Titan Takes the Lead at Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 With Major Honor:

Attack on Titan was illustrated and created by renowned author Hajime Isayama, and it started with the first episode, which premiered in the year 2003.
Since then, it had a huge fan following, with the fans anticipating each season coming out.
The final season that was released in two parts was a success too. Regardless of its controversial takes, it was still the no.1 show and got a 100 percent score by critics as well on Rotten Tomatoes.
Moreover, not only the anime series version but its movie version, released in Japan on November 8, 2024, and later on in the U.S. on February 10, 2025, was gaining massive popularity and recognition worldwide.
Seeing such an influence and success of the show, Crunchyroll decided to award it with a newly launched honor, the Global Impact Award, to appreciate the efforts of creators that have created a long-lasting impact in the minds of fans.
Crunchyroll’s Chief Operating Officer, Gita Rebbapragada, explained this initiative to praise creators and talents around the world for bringing out such a story that not only relates but deters the mind of youngsters as a Gen Z.
Finally, don’t miss the live telecast of the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards that will be conducted on May 25, at 4 a.m. EST.
This event is hosted by beloved voice actor Sally Amaki and entertainer Jon Kabira. And, as per usual, many fans and anime influencers will be on show to support their favourite anime to be the Anime of the Year 2025.
The live event is held in Tokyo, but fans that are not available to be present onsite can enjoy the event on Crunchyroll’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
Moreover, the representative of Attack on Titan will be receiving the Global Impact Award on behalf of the team.
