NXpress Nintendo Podcast 244: Indie World Reactions and Greak: Memories of Azur Review

August 2021 Indie World Showcase Reactions
This week on the NXpress Nintendo Podcast, Cameron Daxon, Marc Kaliroff, and Campbell Gill react to the latest jam-packed Indie World showcase. The gang breaks down every major announcement of the show, from the impeccably stylish opening with a new Bomb Rush Cyberfunk trailer all the way through to the final stretch of big-name surprise releases. With such a strong lineup of shadow-drops like Garden Story, Boyfriend Dungeon, and Axiom verge 2, this presentation rivaled the last E3 showcase as one of Nintendo’s most consistently exciting productions in recent memory.
Next up, Marc puts a necessary damper on all the Indie World enthusiasm by reviewing the disappointing comic book adventure, Foreclosed. While it might have an immaculate aesthetic, its gameplay loop leaves much to be desired. Never fear, however; Marc still has some positivity up his sleeve with a review of the fantastic surprise action-platformer, Greak: Memories of Azur. While it doesn’t rewrite the formula of its genre, Greak still delivers one of the year’s finest platforming adventures with painterly visuals and immaculate level design.
