Former Rockstar Artist Makes Incredible Comic-Inspired Video Game Art
Former Rockstar artist Mark Scicluna has put together some of the coolest video game art in years with these retro style comic book covers.

Video game art has been exploding over the last few years and the more the merrier we say. Take this latest batch from former Rockstar Games artist Mark Scicluna. If you’re of a certain age you’ll remember these pulpy, old-school comic book covers that were once a regular style seen from every publisher from EC to DC to Marvel.
Scicluna has adapted this unique retro style and used it as inspiration for a host of incredible video-game-inspired comic book covers. Featuring Sony heavy-hitters like The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Resident Evil 2, and Metal Gear Solid, this insanely detailed and lovingly crafted video game art is some of the coolest we’ve seen in a long time.
On top of the old-school pulpy style, there are also different types of artwork in the collection. Some are inspired by classic action-figure cases while others, like the Crash Bandicoot or Medievil ones, have a more zany style more reminiscent of Archie Comics. There’s even one inspired by the movie Joker in the mix.
You can check out some of our favorites below but the full batch can be found here on Mark Scicluna’s official website.
