Shift Up’s Stellar Blade Surpasses 1 Million Sales
Developer Shift Up recently announced that their game, Stellar Blade, has sold over 1 million units since its release. This news (thanks Game Developer) came during an IPO press conference held by the company. The game, which launched on April 26 for PlayStation 5, has achieved significant success, ranking first in sales in major console markets like the US and UK.
Stellar Blade has received high praise from players, boasting a user rating of 9.2 on Metacritic. This rating is the highest ever among PS5 titles, and the game continues to maintain this impressive score. The success is a testament to Shift Up’s commitment to quality and engaging gameplay.

The studio also hinted at a PC version of Stellar Blade, currently under review. However, due to contractual obligations, they could not provide details on its release date. Shift Up CFO Jaewoo Ahn expressed optimism about the game’s future, anticipating that the release of the PC version will further enhance the game’s IP value.

Shift Up CEO Kim Hyung-Tae reiterated the excitement around the PC version, although he emphasized that specific timing and availability details could not be disclosed at this time.
