Pokémon Squishmallows Are Coming To Comic-Con
Fans asked, and Squishmallows will provide: Pokémon Squishmallows are here!

The Pokémon collaboration that fans have been waiting for is finally here: Pokémon Squishmallows! The soft and huggable plush toys that have quickly become an international phenomenon since their creation in 2017 will finally be getting Pokémon themed plushes, though there is currently no information as to how many different types there will be or what their availability is.
The news comes from the official Squishmallows Twitter account, which tagged the official Pokémon account with the question: “Wanna meet up @Comic_Con?” There is a teaser video featuring a very familiar character with lightning strikes in the background, leading to Pokémon fans getting very excited in the replies. Comments ranging from “I’ve been waiting for Pokémon Squishmallows forever” to “This just made my girlfriend and I very very happy” really go a long way in demonstrating just how much demand there is for these two brands to collide.

Of course, the Pokémon account replied to Squishmallows’ question, simply saying: “Of course! Got room in your booth?”, using the hashtag #SquishmallowsxPokemon to further increase the hype levels for this adorable collaboration. Whatever the extent of this cross-over, they’re certainly doing their best to get people excited about it.

This does, however, beg another question: will these hotly-anticipated Pokémon Squishmallows be available for wider release, or are they exclusive to Comic-Con? For the sake of Pokémon fans across the world that are craving a huggable Pikachu plush, hopefully the latter scenario won’t turn out to be true. The last thing fans would want is for these plushies to be limited edition and inevitably resold at tremendous prices online.
