Disney Internal Slack Hacked, 1TB of Data Breached
Hacktivist group NullBulge has allegedly breached Disney, leaking 1.1TB of internal Slack data. This breach includes messages, files, code, and more. NullBulge claims this data was obtained to protect artists’ rights and ensure fair compensation for their work.
The group announced their claims on the cybercrime platform Breach Forums on July 12, 2024. They used X/Twitter to publicize the hack, stating that the data includes almost 10,000 channels with messages, files, unreleased projects, raw images, code, and internal links.
NullBulge’s origins remain unclear, but their mission is to support artists and ensure fair payment. Some speculate that NullBulge might be linked to the LockBit ransomware gang, as they appear to use LockBit’s leaked builder.

Disney has faced criticism over the years for not paying fair shares to artists and writers. Prominent figures like Neil Gaiman have highlighted that Disney stopped paying royalties to some writers and artists, especially those who worked on franchises like Star Wars.
This breach is another in a series affecting major U.S. companies. Recently, AT&T and Ticketmaster have also suffered significant data breaches.
