Bloodborne Player Count Soars by 57% in June 2024 Ahead of Elden Ring DLC
Bloodborne, the iconic PS4 exclusive, saw a significant increase in its player count in June 2024. This spike is attributed to the anticipation and release of Elden Ring’s new DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.
In June 2024, Bloodborne’s player count surged by 57%, a notable rise linked to the lead-up to Elden Ring’s DLC launch on June 21, 2024. This resurgence continued even after the DLC release, with Bloodborne gaining an additional 11.61% in player count, making it the 65th most-played PlayStation game that week.

Data from over 3 million PlayStation accounts confirmed this trend, highlighting a renewed interest in FromSoftware’s gothic masterpiece. Bloodborne outpaced other FromSoftware titles, including Dark Souls III, which saw a 5.9% increase, ranking 121st in player activity.
This resurgence underscores Bloodborne’s enduring appeal and excellent game design, which continues to attract players despite lacking a next-gen upgrade. Fans have been vocal about their desire for a Bloodborne sequel or a PC port, hoping that Sony takes notice.
