NXpress Nintendo Podcast #131: ‘Bayonetta 2’ and our Hopes and Dreams for E3 2018
Bayonetta 2 Nintendo Switch Podcast Special
This week on the NXpress Nintendo Switch Podcast, Zack Rezak steps in to help Tim and Rick review the action-adventure hack ‘n’ slash masterpiece Bayonetta 2, developed by PlatinumGames. That’s right, we are calling it a masterpiece so be prepared to hear the boys gush about the gorgeous visuals, the intricate battles, the epic set pieces, the bombastic soundtrack, the unimaginable weapons, and of course, Bayonetta herself – one of the most powerful and empowered characters to ever grace a video game. Before all that, we discuss our hopes and dreams for E3 2018. Will Nintendo reveal a new installment in the Luigi’s Mansion series? Will we see footage of Metroid Prime 4? Will Nintendo unveil a brand new IP? Will Wario get his own game on the Nintendo Switch?
But first, Rick, Tim, and Zack discuss what they’ve been playing lately. Zack’s completed all of Kirby Star Allies yet despite the amount of time he spent playing the game, he isn’t the biggest fan. He shares his thoughts on why he feels Kirby Star Allies was a disappointment and why he also feels The Secret of Mana is severely overrated. Tim, on the other hand, has been enjoying Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, and finally found time to finish the main story. He’s also been spending more time with Slayaway Camp and other Switch titles. Meanwhile, Ricky somehow turns a Nintendo podcast into a discussion about two games not released on a Nintendo console: A Way Out, the action-adventure game developed by Hazelight Studios and Far Cary 5, the latest entry in Ubisoft’s hit series which is set in the fictional Hope County, Montana, where a preacher named Joseph Seed (portrayed by Greg Bryk) has risen to prominence and formed his very own cult. All this and more!
