The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is Getting a Crowdfunded Board Game
I recently discussed how Stardew Valley has become a board game and now yet another big name video game franchise is getting a new board game adaptation: Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Insert obligatory Skyrim is literally on everything joke here. This take on the video game board game is a little different though as the creators are turning to crowdfunding to get the project out there.
Modiphius Entertainment- a company that already has a hand in miniature figurines based on the The Elder Scrolls– created a post on the crowdfunding website GameFound.com for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim- The Board Game which is described on the site as “An epic co-operative board game of adventure across Skyrim for 1-4 players”. Visitors to the website are able to sign up and received updates on designs within the game in the lead up to the launch. The project already has just over ten thousand followers on the website but I’m sure the team can use all the support they can get so if this is a project that interests you, make sure to check them out on Game Found here.

I think The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim could very easily make the transition from video game to board game with ease due to the role playing nature of the game, which always makes for a fun board game. Here’s hoping that Modiphius Entertainment manage to achieve a fair amount of attention with their crowdfunding page as this is a board game that I think a lot of people would want to see happen.
