Borderlands 4 to be Unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2024
Borderlands fans are buzzing with excitement as rumors swirl about the possible reveal of Borderlands 4 at the upcoming Summer Game Fest 2024. The speculation began after Summer Game Fest confirmed that 2K would showcase “the next iteration in one of 2K’s biggest and most beloved franchises.”
This news was further fueled by a post on Exputer’s forums, which suggested that the game in question is indeed Borderlands 4. Exputer is known for leaking accurate information, though this post was on their forums rather than the main site, making it somewhat uncertain.

The last Borderlands game was released in 2019, and earlier this year, Gearbox confirmed it was developing the next game in the series. Given the timeline, it’s reasonable to believe that Gearbox has been working on Borderlands 4 for years and is now ready to announce it.
Adding to the excitement, a reliable source named Kurakasis, known for accurate gaming leaks, also hinted at the reveal. He mentioned that Summer Game Fest would be the venue for Borderlands 4’s first showing. This aligns with 2K’s earlier tease about a major announcement at the event.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see if these rumors hold true. The reveal would come at a perfect time, especially with the Borderlands movie set to release in August. This could potentially lead to cross-promotion between the game and the movie.
