NXpress Nintendo Podcast #169: E3 2019 Nintendo Direct!
Outside of getting one’s hands on that much-anticipated game, it’s hard to point to a more exciting time of the year for fans than when the day of Nintendo’s E3 Direct finally arrives. We here at the NXpress Nintendo Podcast definitely get hyped — not only for seeing some of our hopes and dreams come to gaming life, but also so that we know what we’ll be talking about for the next few months! With that said, this week Rick, Tim, and Patrick are joined by Goomba Stomp writer Zack Rezac to pore over 2019’s presentation, judging it on both entertainment value and quality of content, then riffing a bit on what our favorite (or least favorite) moments were.
Was this year’s presentation pleasantly efficient, or did we miss some of the old, corny charm? Did Nintendo knock it out of the park as far as games, with something for everyone? Or did they fizzle out a bit by showing too many ports? Sure, there weren’t exactly a ton of surprises, but was that one enough? (You know what we mean.) Finally, what trailers for already announced games got us more excited than we had previously been? The guys definitely have some differing opinions this time out, so have a listen!
For all this and more, tune in to the NXpress Nintendo Podcast!
