NXpress Nintendo Podcast #155: ‘Travis Strikes Again,’ Super Mario Party’ and ‘Super Mario Bros. Deluxe’
You might think we’re reviewing a new game called Tangent this week on the NXpress Nintendo Switch Podcast, but stick with us through the sidetracks about the pluralization of joy-con (cons?) and obscure Polish movies, and we’ll get to the good stuff. In our sprawling first segment, Rick talks about beating the Canadian winter with Super Mario Party and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, while guest host Izsak Barnette fills us in on some great 3DS deals he found that should keep him busy until next January. Last but not least, Patrick lavishes more praise on the 45 hours he spent with Hollow Knight, then tries to bite his tongue while delivering not-so-nice impressions of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.
We’re not done there, however. If you could only choose one more game to port from the Wii U to the Switch, which would it be? The gang offers their picks, and explanations of how they could pass on other fan favorites. Finishing things up is a recap of the recent Nindies Showcase. What stood out for us? For all that and more, have a listen!
