Ninja Criticizes Fortnite’s New Vehicle Meta
Popular streamer Ninja, also known as Tyler Blevins, has strongly criticized the latest season of Fortnite. The game’s Chapter 5 Season 3, titled “Wrecked,” introduced a new gameplay style centered around vehicles, causing significant controversy among players.
Released on May 24, 2024, this season encourages players to use vehicles to dominate opponents, sparking divided opinions within the Fortnite community. Some fans have demanded vehicle nerfs, and the game experienced a three-million-player drop on the first day of the season.
Ninja did not mince words about the new meta. “This season is absolutely dog f* water. If I was a 5-year-old that still loved cool cars, I would be having the time of my life. I’m a 32-year-old, grown man who likes to shoot things in video games. Now I have to drive a vehicle around and pray that I run into people that have a worse vehicle than me,” he complained.

However, many users on social media platforms like X/Twitter dismissed Ninja’s criticism. The official Dignitas Fortnite account even mocked his rant. Others pointed out that Ninja’s gameplay style has evolved since Chapter 1, suggesting his resistance to adapt to new game dynamics.
Despite the backlash from both fans and streamers like Ninja, Epic Games has yet to make any changes to the current state of Chapter 5 Season 3. The season is still new, and potential updates might address these concerns in the future.
