Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2’s Launch Postponed by Epic Games
Epic Games has postponed the much-anticipated launch of Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2. Initially set to be released this morning, the new season, titled “Myths & Mortals,” is now expected to launch no earlier than 5:15 PM ET.
The delay was caused by an unexpected issue encountered during maintenance. Epic Games took to Twitter to express their apologies for the extended wait time for fans eager to dive into the new Battle Royale season. The team is reportedly working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and promises to keep players updated.
The new season, Myths & Mortals, draws its inspiration from Greek mythology. It will introduce new locations to the game’s map, such as Mount Olympus, Grim Gate, The Underworld, and Brawler’s Battleground. Players can also expect new weapons like the Gatekeeper Shotgun, obtained by defeating Cerberus, the Harbinger SMG from defeating Hades, and the Thunderbolt of Zeus.

The upcoming free giveaways from the Epic Games Store have also been announced. From March 14-21, players can claim Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and the logic puzzle game The Bridge for free. These games will replace Astro Duel 2, currently available for free on PC and Nintendo Switch until March 14.
