Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Sale Records Surprises Developers
The gaming world is buzzing with excitement over the unexpected success of “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.” This latest entry in the beloved series has shattered sales records, surprising even its creators with its rapid success. In just the first week following its release, the game shipped over one million copies worldwide, a feat that has left Masayoshi Yokoyama, the studio head of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, both surprised and delighted.
Traditionally, games in the “Like a Dragon” series, formerly known in the West as “Yakuza,” have enjoyed a slow but steady increase in sales, largely driven by word-of-mouth recommendations. However, “Infinite Wealth” broke this pattern, achieving unprecedented sales speed from day one. Yokoyama noted that the game’s success is particularly remarkable in Japan, where it has outperformed previous titles in the series regarding initial sales.

“Infinite Wealth” has captivated players with its engaging storyline and deep gameplay and has been praised as one of the best RPGs in recent years. Critics and fans alike have lauded its excellent combat system, memorable characters, and unique blend of humor and drama. The game is available on multiple platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC, and is priced at $70.
