Demon Slayer Dominates the Box Office; And the Infinity Castle Arc Hype Is Just Beginning!

Demon Slayer infinity castle is one of most anticipated anime seasons of this year’s but before it can be released, the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tsuzumi Mansion Arc movie has broken the record already.
The movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tsuzumi Mansion Arc is from 2020 and it was re-released on the weekend of April 19-20.
The movie is estimated to earn around US$27.8 million in Japan, which is tremendous success for a movie that has already been released before.
Moreover, US$27.8 million is considered to be the biggest box office opening of 2025, if we see so far. It also beat some latest hit movies such as Cells at Work!, which topped US$17.5 million during the New Year eve weekend.
But now the movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tsuzumi Mansion Arc is on top with two movies of more than US$10 million.
It doesn’t stop here, the Demon Slayer sudden wave also struck down, last year’s biggest opening to be known, Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram, that made US$27.1 million in 2024.

Demon Slayer’s 2025 Box Office Victory Sets Stage for Epic Infinity Castle Premiere!

If you are unaware of what The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tsuzumi Mansion Arc covers then don’t worry, here’s the details.
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tsuzumi Mansion Arc covers Episodes 11–14 from Season 1, which premiered in early 2020.
The story of the movie revolves around Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu fighting demons from the haunted mansion and it also includes one of Tanjiro’s epic battles with former 12 Kizuki members along with Zenitsu’s first big time fight.
Furthermore, other than re-release of The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tsuzumi Mansion, they’re going to keep on releasing older arcs adaptation movies in theatre for promoting and creating hype amongst the fans for upcoming Infinity Castle movie trilogy that going to releasing on July 18, 2025, in Japan.
Their promotion is not going to restrict bringing back the older arcs on screen but they have also started with their special screenings going on with popular voice actors from demon slayer.
Moreover, they are also using a giant rice field art display of Tanjiro, along with the 4K re-release of Mugen Train in North America starting in May 2025.
As we expect the hype for infinity castle is real and with all this promotion and re-releasing some of the hit arcs from the series making fans anticipate the movie more than ever.
It is also expected that it will break records of one of most renowned movies of demo slayers yet to be released, Mugen Train, that made over US$507 world wide.
And because the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tsuzumi Mansion, became a huge success, it’s clear that the infinity castle movie will be made all over the world with its international release that is coming on September 12, 2025.
