So, if you’re still wondering what to add to your watchlist this season, I’ve got you.

Here are six anime I think you’ll be very glad you added for ya fall list.

1. Mushishi:

Let me start with the anime that screams quiet fall evening.

If you haven’t watched Mushishi yet, imagine just wandering through misty forests and remote villages where strange supernatural beings could be hiding anywhere around you. Scary right? That’s pretty much the feeling this anime gives you.

The story follows Ginko as he travels around investigating mysterious creatures known as Mushi, and every episode feels like its own little supernatural folktale. But here’s the warning: it’s super slow paced so don’t try to rush through this one.

Watch an episode when it’s raining outside. Turn the lights down. Grab something warm to drink.Trust me, the atmosphere does the rest for you!

2. Laid-Back Camp:

Now, do you actually want to go camping in chilly weather? Do you miss going out in cold weather? If the answer is yes then you will love this one!

Well you just need to sit under the blanket and watch anime characters camp beside beautiful mountains while eating delicious food? Isn’t it wonderful?

So, Laid-Back Camp is basically everything cozy about fall packed into an anime series. You’ve got cold evenings, campfires, gorgeous scenery, warm meals, and characters who somehow make sleeping outside look like the most relaxing thing ever.

This is the one you put on after a long day when you don’t want drama. You don’t want stress. You just want to feel cozy.

Just don’t blame me if you start looking at camping gear afterward and actually wanting to start camping out!

3. Flying Witch:

Okay, hear me out.You move to the countryside.It’s peaceful. There’s nature everywhere. Life is slow.Oh, and you also realise you are a witch.

Tell me that doesn’t sound like the perfect fall life or does it?

Well, Flying Witch follows the life of Makoto, a young witch living in rural Japan while continuing her magical training. But here is a thing it’s just super cozy with no magical showdown whatsoever.

The magic here feels surprisingly normal.You’re basically just hanging out in the countryside while strange and magical things casually happen around you and trust me it will definitely grow on you!

If your idea of a perfect fall anime is something soft, wholesome, and slightly magical, put this one on your list and thank me later!

4. Hotarubi no Mori e:

English title: Into the Forest of Fireflies’ Light

Before you watch this one, I need to ask you something:Are you emotionally prepared?Because you might think you are.

But you’re probably not, because this anime will break your heart.The story follows Hotaru, a girl who meets Gin after getting lost in a forest inhabited by spirits.

The mysterious fact about Gin is wears a mask, and has one very important rule, Hotaru can never touch him. Yes, no humans allowed to touch or he will fade away.

And yes, now you know where the emotional problems are going to begin.I’m not telling you anything else because this is one you should experience for yourself.

Just find a cozy evening, watch it, and come back when you’ve recovered.

5. Wolf Children:

If you haven’t watched Wolf Children yet, this might be your sign to finally watch it this fall!The movie begins with Hana as she raises her two half-human, half-wolf children, Yuki and Ame.

Eventually, they move to the countryside, and this is where you get some absolutely beautiful seasonal scenery. You watch nature change around them as the family grows and the children slowly begin figuring out who they want to become.

But don’t let the gorgeous scenery fool you.

This movie has feelings that might break you tears.

You’ll probably start watching because you want something beautiful and comforting…and then suddenly you’re sitting there getting emotional about family, growing up, and letting go of their loved ones. Well, don’t worry you won’t feel warm inside after completing the show.

6. The Girl From the Other Side:

Okay, we’ve done with the cozy fall anime line up now it’s time to make it a little spooky.If October has you craving something darker, The Girl From the Other Side should definitely be on your watchlist Just look at its visual style through the trailer and you will fall in love with its animation.

It feels like someone opened an old, slightly creepy fairytale book and somehow turned it into an anime.

You follow Shiva, a young girl living alongside a mysterious non-human being she calls Teacher.Their relationship is surprisingly sweet, but the world around them? Not so comforting. As you can imagine.

Think dark forests, curses, strange creatures, and that constant feeling that something is lurking just beyond what you can see.

Save this one for a dark October evening and thank me later.So… What Are You Watching First? See what I mean?You don’t necessarily need pumpkins everywhere for an anime to feel like fall.

Sometimes all you need is the misty atmosphere of Mushishi, a campfire in Laid-Back Camp, the quiet magic of Flying Witch, or the dark fairytale world of The Girl From the Other Side.
