Solo Leveling Finally Has a Rival? This 2027 Anime Could Take Over Everything

Solo Leveling, one of the anime adaptations that has become a global phenomenon, will finally compete with its most formidable rival. It’s none other than one of the most cherished webtoons, just like Solo Leveling, Omniscient Reader, also called the “Solo Leveling killer.”

Finally, all attention is on its upcoming anime adaptation. After nearly two years of silence, Omniscient Reader’s anime has finally received a new release update, and it’s one of the biggest updates yet.

Omniscient Reader May Become the Next Big Anime After Solo Leveling:

Previously in March 2025, Com2uS announced that it was working with developer Offbit to create a brand new game directly inspired from Omniscient Readers.

Recently, Com2uS held a conference to discuss its Q1 2026 earnings and shared their financial report about its upcoming project, which also consist of a new update on the anime adaptation of Omniscient Reader.

Moreover there is a report which was shared online by Korean gaming news outlet GameY, the Omniscient Reader anime is planned for release in 2027.

The cherry on top is the mobile game version series is also currently in development phase. We are expecting the mobile game to be released by 2027 around as well.

The anime studio working on the adaptation has not been officially revealed yet.

However, Com2uS has left us a hint on their latest report that the series will be soon produced by “a famous Japanese animation studio.”

Why Omniscient Reader’s Anime Will Be Worth the Long Wait:

Omniscient Reader’s anime was officially announced at Anime Expo 2024 in July, and now it has already been almost two years of waiting and we haven’t heard any updates on the project.

But now at least we know that the anime is still in production and it won’t be long until we hear the release date for the anime.

As for now we haven’t received any update from the official Omniscient Reader anime website, not even the rumour of an anime releasing 2027 is yet confirmed. But still we hope it will soon be released and don’t worry our long anticipation won’t go to waste for sure!

Because the teaser of the anime will be released by well known Japanese studios so every wait would be worth the time.

Moreover, since Solo Leveling Season 3 has not yet been officially confirmed and we still don’t know when it will be released, this is a great opportunity for Omniscient Reader’s anime adaptation to take the spotlight.
