NXpress Nintendo Podcast 66: Looking back at ‘Majora’s Mask’ and ‘Splatoon’
Originally slated to appear on Nintendo’s ill-fated Nintendo 64 disk drive add-on, the 64DD, Majora’s Mask was the first direct sequel to any Legend of Zelda game and released less than two years after Ocarina of Time. With such a short development time and a follow-up to what is considered one of the greatest games ever made, it should be no surprise that Majora’s Mask did not receive a universally warm welcome. This week we take a look back at the black sheep in Nintendo’s beloved series. Also on tap is a look back on Splatoon, a year after its initial release. Joining us this week is guest Alex Paterno from Frightday.com and host of the WWTA podcast.
