Sony to Release PlayStation 5 Pro in Late 2024
Sony is set to launch the PlayStation 5 Pro during the holiday season of 2024, according to recent reports. Developers have been preparing for the new console, with support applications for the PS5 Pro starting on July 30th. All games released after September 15th will need to support the new hardware.
Reports from Insider Gaming indicate that the PS5 Pro will feature significant upgrades, including better resolution and frame rates. The console is expected to be revealed in September, possibly at the Tokyo Game Show, marking Sony’s first appearance at the event in five years.
Despite speculation about potential delays, there is no official indication that the PS5 Pro release has been postponed. Developers have been working with PS5 Pro testing kits, distributed in spring, to ensure game compatibility and performance enhancements.

Concerns have been raised about the limited number of first-party games that will utilize the new console’s features. However, documentation and developer activities suggest that the PS5 Pro is on track for its anticipated release.
Sony has yet to officially confirm the PS5 Pro publicly. Still, the consistent updates and developer engagement hint at an imminent announcement.
