NXpress Nintendo Podcast #150: ‘Detective Pikachu’ and ‘Diablo III’
Cuddly or creepy? Legitimate video game cinema or heartless or cash-grab? Ryan Reynolds or Danny DeVito? It may only provide a brief glimpse at what’s to come, but the first trailer for Detective Pikachu has already inspired so many emotions — hope, trepidation, excitement, apathy, and everything in between. This is especially true for the Nxpress’ resident Pokémon fanatic, Tim Maison, who is joined by Patrick and guest Zack Rezac to discuss what the hell is going on in this Who Framed Roger Rabbit-like mystery involving real actors and CGI monsters.
And speaking of Hell, Blizzard released a monster of its own on the Switch with Diablo III. Zack gives us the lowdown, letting us know if this journey into the darkness shines as bright as its colleagues on other consoles. Or perhaps it’s even better…?
Before all that, however, the guys talk about what they’ve been playing, and Patrick follows up last week’s positive impressions of Starlink: Battle for Atlas with a full review. For all this and more, have a listen!
