How do Minecraft Treasure Maps Function?
Minecraft Treasure Maps are not something extraordinary, it’s just a regular map with few things that shows, where you are currently, where you can locate the buried treasure, and most importantly, biomes around the treasure.
As we discuss, how exactly does it work? It works normally just like an ordinary map indicating direction such as north at top, south at bottom, west on the left side of the map and east on the right side of the map.
The circle in the bottom left shows your location and the Red Cross Mark shows the location of buried treasure on a map.
Mastering Map Navigation: Knowing Your Location:
To use the map in Minecraft, you need to understand in which direction you are facing. In the Java edition, you can just simply press F3 to see in which direction you are. But in the Bedrock edition there’s no such function to know the direction.
So, to know the exact location you have to move forward or go in different directions and an indicator will let you know where’s treasure is buried in the map.
You can also discover direction by watching sunrise and sunset because in Minecraft world the Sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
Discovering the Treasure’s Location on the Map:
As mentioned before you will see a Red Cross Mark in the bottom left of the map that will indicate the treasure location.
So, to discover the treasure you need to go towards the North and then East from the place you are located in your Minecraft world.
Navigating to the Treasure’s Location on a Minecraft Map:
As we already discussed everything related to using maps and how to find X in Maps, now we are going to help you to find the treasure by simple procedure. Just follow these steps and you will be closer to your destination.
- First to start with the treasure hunt, you keep moving in one of the directions indicated on the treasure map. When you’re following the right way, the map will show the different areas around you. Just keep on looking at the picture to see how it works for you.
- Secondly, once you are there with one side of the X on the map, start moving in the other direction. If you are moving the right way, you will discover your position marker moving closer to the X, and more areas on the map will start appearing in front of you. Keep moving until you are right at the top of the X.
- Now, it’s finally time for you to dig in and around the X on the map. Mostly, the treasure is buried under the sand on a beach or underwater. But sometimes, it could be seen on a hillside or even under the ocean. And after you get your hands on it, just simply open the chest and take all your rewards for hardship.
