Final Fantasy 16 Set to Launch The Rising Tide DLC in April
Square Enix is set to launch The Rising Tide, the next downloadable content (DLC) for the hit game Final Fantasy 16, on April 18. Following the success of Echoes of the Fallen in December, this new DLC promises to enrich the gaming experience with its set before the game’s main storyline conclusion.
Players can purchase The Rising Tide as a standalone DLC or as part of the game’s Expansion Pass. The announcement comes alongside a fresh trailer that showcases what players can expect, including new abilities, locations, side quests, and more.
Square Enix has also unveiled a slew of enhancements accompanying the DLC, such as a function for instantly returning to quest-giving NPCs, new character mission icons, multiple skill set saving for the protagonist Clive, along with adjustments to skills and accessories, customizable button mapping, and photo mode additions.
Alongside the DLC, a free update for Final Fantasy 16 will roll out, further enhancing the gameplay experience. However, anticipation still builds around the release date for the PC version of Final Fantasy 16. Naoki Yoshida, a key figure behind the game, recently hinted that the PC port’s development is nearing its final stages, stirring excitement among fans eager to dive into the fantasy world on their preferred platform.
