Xbox Series X|S May Emulate PS3 Games Before PS5

This update is significant because PS3 emulation is notoriously difficult, even on powerful PCs. Currently, PlayStation only offers streaming for its PS3 library, so native emulation on Xbox hardware is a significant step forward.

The update not only hints at PS3 game support but also suggests that Nintendo Switch games might soon be playable on Xbox Series X and Series S. The successful running of the Nintendo 3DS emulator, Citra, on these consoles further supports this possibility.
