Gears of War Franchise Sees Huge Spike in Players After E-Day Reveal
The Gears of War franchise is experiencing a significant surge in player activity following the recent announcement of Gears of War E-Day. Unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase, the upcoming title has reignited interest across all games in the series, especially Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
According to TrueAchievements, the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition saw a remarkable 323% increase in its player count. This spike is attributed to the excitement surrounding the E-Day reveal, which revisits the roots of the franchise and promises a darker narrative.
Gears 5 also benefited from the announcement, experiencing a 66% rise in players, while Gears 4 saw a 64% increase. These older titles are gaining traction as new and returning players dive back into the series to prepare for the upcoming release.

The Coalition, the developers behind the series, have confirmed that Gears of War E-Day will include a multiplayer mode. This addition is expected to capture the core elements that fans love about the franchise, from its intense third-person shooter gameplay to its compelling storyline.
