How to Get to the Amirdrassil Raid?

The raid is located in the ethereal confines of the Emerald Dream, which is an instanced sub-zone. To get to the instance, you are to fly to Ancient Bough east of Shady Sanctuary in Ohn’ahran Plains and enter the portal to the Emerald Dream. Once inside, fly to the Wellspring of Life, where the entrance to the raid is located. The closest flight point to the raid is at the Wellspring Overlookin the northern half of the Emerald Dream zone. Note that you can fly to the portal and exit from the portal to Amirdrassil once inside; however, you can’t fly directly there on your Dragon.

Bosses You Will Meet in the Amirdrassil Raid

The Amirdrassil Raid features a total of nine bosses, each coming with unique mechanics and abilities. So here is what you can expect in the encounter:

  • Gnarlroot — A corrupted treant that uses his roots to trap players and deal damage.
  • Igira the Cruel — A powerful Djaradin elder who wields a massive axe and summons minions to aid her.
  • Volcoross — A massive lava serpent that uses fire attacks and summons smaller dragons to fight alongside him.
  • Council of Dreams — A group of three bosses that work together to cast powerful spells and control the battlefield.
  • Larodar, Keeper of the Flame — A faithful protector of the grove who uses fire attacks and summons fiery minions.
  • Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle — A powerful druid who can control time and manipulate the battlefield.
  • Smolderon — Elemental Lord of fire and master of the Firelands. He uses Searing Aftermath, which deals high damage to players and leaves a fiery trail on the ground that damages players who stand in it.
  • Tindral Sageswift — A master shapeshifter who has four Druid forms (humanoid, Moonkin, Treanant of the Flame, Owl of the Flame).
  • Fyrakk the Blazing — The final boss you will have to deal with in the raid, empowered by the shadowflame force and wielding Fyr’alath, Dream’s Render — the legendary axe.

Keep in mind that the raid is still in testing and a release date has not yet been officially announced by Blizzard, but it is expected to be around late October or early November.

The Amirdrassil Raid Bosses Rewards

In Amirdrassil raid, you can get trinkets, tier sets, a new legendary weapon, mounts, and dragonriding customizations. The loot table for the raid covers powerful weapons such as the Fyr’alath, the Dream Render, and trinkets. The tier sets come in different tints according to specific classes and specs, with 13 sets and 52 tins available in total. The Elemental Shaman’s 4-piece set bonus, for instance, grants instant cast of Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning and 25% increased damage for 10 second after using Primordial Wave, whenever you consume Lava Surge. 

The Amirdrassil Raid Difficulty Modes

Amirdrassil Raid has four difficulty modes: LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. Each of them comes with unique and deadly mechanics that players need to master in order to play around and counter. On top of that, the rewards also differ between the difficulty modes. Thus, Normal mode offers an upgrade and introduces players to the core mechanics, while Heroic mode increases the rewards and stakes, challenging even experienced raiders. 

Mythic is the most challenging difficulty mode and requires a high level of skill and coordination from the players. Passing the raid in Mythic mode, you can get from 480 up to 489 ilvl gear, including the very rare items and the legendary axe — Fyr’alath, the Dream Render. It is a two-handed axe wielded by the last boss in the raid, and is empowered by the force of shadowflame. The axe has a fiery appearance and is highly sought after by players due to its powerful stats and unique aesthetics. Fyr’alath is a Strength weapon, making it desirable for Death Knights, Warriors, and Paladins.
