The Internet Has Fallen In Love With Lady Dimitrescu a.k.a The Tall Lady from Resident Evil Village

The recent demo for Resident Evil Village– called Maiden– has had the internet and gaming fans all of a twitter in a rather unexpected fashion. Whilst the demo itself has been positively received- make sure to check out our own look at the demo here– it is the mistress of Castle Dimitrescu who has been drawing a huge amount of attention. Let’s have a look at some of the best fan art and memes that have spawned thanks to the appeal of the sultry and likely super evil Lady Aleina Dimitrescu.

Little side note: Lady Dimitrescu- who has also been dubbed as The Tall Lady due to her imposing stature- has attracted a lot of attention and so you can probably imagine what some of the content that has been created for her is like. It’s a little NSFW, to say the least. I’m only going to include content that (hopefully) won’t scar any young readers for life.

The Videogame Edits Twitter account is rife with brilliantly made edits, so you can be sure that as soon as Lady Dimitrescu made her debut, the account was there to create a simple yet highly accurate edit. The Internet is rather infatuated with the mistress of the castle and so Patrick’s simple “you’re hot” and smitten face is perfection. Let’s be honest, this is probably how most of you reacted when you first saw her.

Some fan art next with Lady Dimitrescu asking Ethan if he has any last words only for Ethan to request that she hold his hands. Yes, even with those giant killer claws that she possesses. What I love about this meme is how it is attracting people who have never played a Resident Evil game before, as is the case with @komggi who made this simple yet effective piece. It would seem that people from all over are uniting under their love for the villainous lady. I love it.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Please don’t catch us oh evil one. Props to @alterego.

Another lovely piece of fan art next. Because she is so damn tall, but just how tall is she? Ethan’s tiny figure running away is what makes this all the more fantastic. Thanks for this one @NovaKiit.

This one had me laughing hard when I first saw it. Ethan runs from Lady Dimitrescu and he clearly, definitely does not want her to catch him. Again, this comes from another non Resident Evil fan. It is cool to see so many people coming into the franchise with their content. It speaks volumes about the character’s appeal. Or maybe it speaks volumes about the weirdness of the Internet. Why not both? This one comes from @kellysketches.

Alex Moukala (go check out his Twitter, he does amazing video game music crossovers) sums it up perfectly with this short video showing what we are all going to be hearing in our heads when we encounter Lady Dimitrescu in the game. She’s beautiful, super tall, and has a claw for a hand that she will likely use to rip out your throat. What’s not to like?

Last but not least, this is one that also made me chuckle profusely. If you are that tall, it would seem like a waste to not invest that height into learning how to dunk. I like the little addition of Mr. X here from Resident Evil 2, clearly shaken by the tall ladies’ legendary basketball skills. Though I’m not sure that this is the kind of slamming that most people were talking about when it comes to Lady Dimitrescu. I am so sorry. I couldn’t help myself. Thanks for this @SethKlokk.

The Internet has a wonderful habit of picking up on the weirdest trends and embracing them in various ways. As odd as this can be (such as some of the saucier material that I have kept out of this) it can lead to people venturing into a franchise that they may not have had any knowledge of or interest in beforehand. Hopefully, that is what will happen with Resident Evil Village due to this meme attracting many a thirsty soul. One thing that is certain is that the marketing team for this game needs a raise.

Capcom was pure genius when came to marketing this game by finding out
what attracts the people to purchase their titles in the resident evil
universe is by creating unique characters to idolize and admire
them and why people still loves Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield
that they are iconic and beloved to this very day and now comes
Lady D to such maleficent beauty that will become iconic in
her own right with both fans and cosplayers alike and Capcom
    struck gold with this one.
