Abubakar Salim Sets Sights on Playing Kain in Legacy of Kain TV Series
Abubakar Salim, known for his directorial work and acting in HBO Max’s Raised by Wolves, has expressed a strong desire to portray Kain in a television adaptation of the “Legacy of Kain” series. In discussions with Video Game Chronicle , Salim shared his admiration for the vampire-themed franchise, revealing his particular interest in the character’s complex narrative and the vampire genre in general.
“Give me Kain in the Blood Omen times, that’s my jam,” Salim enthusiastically stated, emphasizing his connection to the series’ origins. “Legacy of Kain” has maintained a dedicated fan base despite its absence from new releases in over two decades. The franchise debuted with “Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain” in 1996, crafted by Silicon Knights and published by Crystal Dynamics.

The series continued with Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver in 1999, under the direction of Amy Hennig, who later directed Naughty Dog’s “Uncharted” series. The most recent game, “Legacy of Kain: Defiance,” was released in 2003.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members can access the game on its release day.
