Roblox Studio Says Children Earning on Platform Is a Gift, Not Exploitation
Roblox, a popular platform for playing and creating video games, is often in the news. Recently, Stefano Corazza, head of Roblox Studio, discussed young creators on the platform. In an interview with Eurogamer, he said that minors making money from their games feel like they are receiving a gift, not being exploited.
Roblox has faced criticism, including concerns about security breaches and inappropriate content. However, Corazza argues that the platform offers a valuable opportunity. He mentioned that even a 15-year-old in Indonesia could earn a living by creating something on Roblox.

Roblox developers, on average, are around 20 years old, but there are younger teenagers as well. Corazza highlighted stories of young creators who achieved success on Roblox and earned enough to consider retirement.

The platform distributes a billion dollars annually among its creators, most of whom are adults. Corazza believes working on Roblox teaches kids coding skills, particularly in Lua, which could benefit their future careers in technology.
