BioWare has finally made the dreams of millions of Mass Effect fans come true by announcing the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC.

The long rumored collection has been speculated on and rumored for every N7 Day (November 7th) going back at least 5 years. However, BioWare has finally confirmed its existence in a blog post today.

A beloved action-RPG series and epic science fiction tale, Mass Effect is best known for its adaptive storytelling, deep characterization and exceptional world-building. Putting players into the space boots of Commander Shepard, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will see Shepard and his crew battling the life-eradicating forces of the Reapers across the galaxy.

As if bringing these three massive games back in a single collection weren’t enough, all three Mass Effect titles will also be remastered and optimized for 4K Ultra HD. To further sweeten the pot, this collection will also include all of the single player DLC from the original trilogy, as well as some new promotional items drummed up specifically for Legendary Edition.

Even at a full sticker price, this will make Mass Effect: Legendary Edition an extremely worthwhile proposition. Just to complete the trilogy would take around 75 hours, while doing all of the extra missions and content can take upwards of 100 hours.

So, whether this is your first ride on the Normandy or you’re returning to the controls after a long hiatus, this collection will be value-packed and well worth a look. Happy N7 Day everyone!
