FleeceKing Becomes The Very First Level 50 Pokémon Go Player

Pokémon Go has it’s very first level 50 player since developers Niantic increased the level cap from 40 to 50 back in December of 2020. The player- who goes by the name FleeceKing and resides in Australia- was streaming the mobile game over on Twitch when they levelled up today.
FleeceKing took to Twitter to celebrate becoming the very first player in the whole world to reach this level. Now that is an achievement! I’m not even joking when I say that if that was me, I would literally screenshot this and put it in a scrapbook to show my grandkids one day. There was a glitch that actually made it a little easier for these players to reach these levels, as they could bypass some of the necessary requirements. Niantic has since patched these bugs though. FleeceKing was followed by fellow Australian player Lauren Bertoni, who made it to level 50 not long after FleeceKing. Congrats to both of you!

Thank you all so so much for tuning into the stream and watching this monumental moment live when it happened! I had almost 5,000 viewers at a single moment, I’m in so much shock…thank you all so much 🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/dBmO2MoAYX
