Princess Peach Showtime Dominates Japanese Game Sales for Third Week
For the third week in a row, Princess Peach Showtime has topped the Japanese sales charts, according to the latest data from Famitsu. The action-adventure game has sold an additional 19k units, pushing its total to over 124k since its launch last month.
Following closely behind, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains a strong contender, with sales reaching 13,055 this week. This enduring favorite shows no signs of slowing down despite its age. Other popular titles like Splatoon 3 and Nintendo Switch Sports also remain in the top ten, demonstrating the lasting appeal of these games.

On the hardware side, the Nintendo Switch leads comfortably, selling over 71,000 units this week. The PlayStation 5 trails with a respectable 24,000 units sold. This trend underscores the Switch’s dominant position in the market.

The chart also notes the continued presence of evergreen titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, each contributing to the robust lineup that keeps fans engaged.
