The trailer showcases the Super Mario craziness of the Nintendo park- which is located in Universal Studios Japan in Osaka- showing park attendants running from a hungry Piranha Plant, dodging a Thwomp, throwing fire balls at Bowser Jr (that is surely some kind of child abuse) ,riding on Yoshi and taking to the Rainbow Road in Mario Kart. The commercial comes with the parks opening fast approaching; set to be officially opened on February 4th. The park was originally due to open back in summer of 2020 but the pandemic put a halt to that, as it did with most things. Despite COVID-19 still running rampant, the park will now be ready for business with safety procedures in place.
Unfortunately, international travel is now even less likely but there is due to be a Nintendo themed park opening up in the US at some point too, so keep an eye out for news on that if that is a bit closer for you. If you’re lucky enough to have a chance to travel to Osaka and go to Super Nintendo World, I am very jealous and I hate you. That is all.
Check out a virtual tour of Super Nintendo World- available in both Japanese and English- on the official website for the theme park here.
