With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo has produced a sandbox so full of mystery and so full of adventure, it could take you well over 100 hours to uncover most of its secrets. Breath of the Wild is enormous, and one of the best things about the game is the hundreds of discoveries that the Nintendo community has been sharing online. One of these discoveries came earlier today when Sean Buckley published a video from his YouTube channel that shows an appearance of an NPC called Botrick, which has an uncanny resemblance to the late Satoru Iwata. The beloved Nintendo president who died in 2015, played a big part in the design of the company’s latest console. In an interview with Time, longtime collaborator and Nintendo creative fellow Shigeru Miyamoto spoke of his former colleague’s lasting influence on the Switch, so chances are this isn’t a coincidence, and this NPC is most likely a stand in for late Iwata-san. Check out the video below and let us know what you think. Enjoy!
