Quentin Tarantino clearly has a fondness for pop culture, referencing it within many of his movies, but does it work when the tables are turned and pop culture decides to reference him instead?
Editor Jacob T. Swinney has posted a video highlighting the various mediums from movies such as Bad Neighbors, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Space Jam, to television shows like The Office, The Simpsons, American Dad, and Community, and also from music artists like Aminé and even Lady Gaga, which are just a taste of the featured media in this montage that have paid tribute to Tarantino.
Here is the description from Swinney’s video:
“We all know Quentin Tarantino loves to reference film, TV, and pop culture, but does it work the other way around? Here is a collection of movies, television shows, and other various forms of media making references *to* the master of references.”
One cool thing to note as well is that all the highlighted pop culture scenes within this video are clips spanning the past 25 years. This just goes to show that pop culture loves Tarantino just as much as he loves it, thereby making him a necessity that other amazing mediums can draw inspiration from.
