The Random Pokémon Plushies Series: Ditto and Snorlax Bean Bag Chairs

It’s been quite a while since I added to this series in the blog but when I came upon these glorious home furnishings, I knew I had to bring back the bizarre Pokémon plushie series. Today, we are looking at some beautiful bean bag chairs that are sure to spruce up your home and catch some eyes at the same time.

There are two Pokémon themed bean bag chairs available at the Pokémon Centre website: Ditto– the copycat pink blob- and Snorlax- the highly relatable, snoozy and hungry giant cat like Pokémon. Much like the other odd Pokémon plushies, the model is hilariously awkward as they pose painfully unnaturally with the giant, soft Pokémon. It isn’t on the same level as the models from the Metapod sleeping bag or the Gengar tongue bed but there is definitely an uncomfortable vibe to be had here as the model awkwardly cuddles up to the giant Ditto and Snorlax.

These big boys are surprisingly well sized too, measuring at 45 inches tall and 30 inches wide. They are actual pieces of furniture for your home but I figures that they would still count as plushies due to that soft, spongy nature that they have. I’m quite fond of the Snorlax one but I have to say that Ditto’s blank, soulless stare is somewhat unnerving. I know that is a Ditto thing anyway- and I would normally be okay with that- except that this Ditto is also a weird grey colour.  If this was vibrant pink I would be willing to look over those aforementioned soulless eyes but the bland colour scheme and odd shaping (it only vaguely resembles Ditto’s blobby form) take away from the bean bag.

If you are tempted to invest in one of these bean bag chairs, they are going to set you back a pretty penny as both Snorlax and Ditto cost $259.99. Yikes. I think I will just keep window shopping for now.
