The Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut Will Take Players to the Japanese Island of Iki

Ghost of Tsushima was one of the best games to come out of 2020 and an official directors cut is now on the way for the title pretty soon. The Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut will release for both the current gen and the next gen of PlayStation console this summer and if you already have a copy of the game for the PlayStation 4, you will be able to upgrade it onto to the PlayStation 5 for $20.

The Directors Cut will feature the usual content you would expect with a director’s cut- such as all of the downloadable content that has been released for Ghost of Tsushima since it debuted- but there is also going to be brand new content available. There will be a new expansion to the narrative which will be based on Iki Island- next door to Tsushima Island- which was also invaded by the Mongols (the game is set in 1274 when this invasion happened on Tsushima Island). There will also be some PlayStation 5 specific updates, such as lip sync for the Japanese voice overs.

The Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut is releasing on August 20th, 2021 and will be available on the PlayStation 4 for $59.99 and $69.99 on the PlayStation 5. For all of the information on what else will come with the new cut- including soundtracks and art books- check out the full announcement over on the PlayStation Blog here.
