Spider-Man: Miles Morales Gets An Amazingly Animated ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ Suit

Yes, it’s another blog post on the upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales game for the PlayStation 5. I am definitely looking forward to it, even though I won’t be able to actually play it for a while. So you’ll have to deal with my endless blogs about it for a little while longer! This time, we’re discussing the awesome new suit that was revealed for the game: the Miles Morales suit from the 2018 Into the Spider-Verse film.

Not only is this suit super stylish and an exact replica of the suit from the animated movie, it is also animated in exactly the same way. The animation from the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film is renowned for its innovation, being animated at 12 frames per second rather than the standard 24 frames per second. This removes the motion blur and gives the animation a particular look that is usually associated with 2-D animation. Implementing this into a 3D animated film was a unique and innovative idea from the Spider-Verse creators, making the transition into the Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game all the more impressive. If you look at the reveal video for the suit, the effect is instantaneous and there is a definite change in the movement and animation style of Miles when he is in this suit. He also pulls off a move where he free falls with his arms behind his head, a nice little homage to the movie.

The suit is a pre-order bonus but thankfully it is not a pre order exclusive. Fans will be able to earn the suit during the game if they do not pre order the game or obtain it on launch. Not much longer to wait now!

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4 on November 12th, 2020.
