Video of the day: Move over Sonic, here’s Sega’s first mascot

Unlike Nintendo, Sega has had quite a few mascots over the years and long before Alex Kidd, Opa Opa and even Sonic came along, there was Professor Asobin who appeared in nearly every game manual of early SG-1000 software. He was replaced briefly by a very similar, but less leporine Dr. Games in 1984, but reappeared in a number of other games until Sega completely abandoned the character. With the upcoming release of SEGA 3D Classics Collection, we figured we should share this video by DJ Slope (Daniel Ibbertson) discussing many of the unknown Sega characters over the year. Enjoy!
