Released November 19th, 2006, the Wii was Nintendo’s seventh generation console. Competing against the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, WII held the lead in the console wars, selling more than 101 million units in the first quarter of 2012 and it maintained its dominance for several years before eventually fading out. It was one of Nintendo’s biggest hits and with it came some truly remarkable games. In celebration of the console’s ten-year anniversary Tim, Rick, and Patrick count down the ten best games released for the system. All this and more!

    It just kills me that there was no one there to bring the xeno love.

      I believe I expressed my love for Xenoblade Chronicles X… I’ll get around to trying XC again at some point, but I can’t lie – those opening hours didn’t inspire me to keep playing. I certainly didn’t vote for it to go anywhere on the list, let alone top ten, so couldn’t argue with it being taken off.

        I suppose that’s true :p I just feel like XCX is so vastly inferior to the original that I was exasperated to listen. But hey, each to his own, I’ll consider this pay back for our veritable thrashing of the Wii U 😀

    I could only bring in one game and I chose Okami, which in my opinion, belongs on the list of 100 best games of this century. I was shocked myself of the removal of Xenoblade. I never had much time to properly enjoy the game, but it is one of those Nintendo exclusives that belongs on the top 10.
