Activision has released a post launch roadmap with a plan for future content to be released for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War following the games launch on November 13th. The map includes new weapons, new zombie modes and additional multiplayer content. One particular feature that caught the eye of Black Ops fans is the return of the Nuketown map.
Nuketown is a map that has become a staple of the Black Ops series, appearing in all four of the previous Call of Duty: Black Ops games as well as Call of Duty Online and Call of Duty: Mobile. The map is known for its tiny size, being one of the smallest maps in the Call of Duty series. It is also known for its specific 1950’s suburb look complete with mannequins to emulate the test sites that would be used for nuclear demonstrations. Nuketown has been remade with new aesthetics for the various games in the Black Ops series but it has maintained the same hectic, close combat layout each time due to the small nature of the map. This makes Nuketown highly iconic but also much maligned by some players. Being thrown into a game where everyone is super close and can kill you within a few seconds can make you a teensy bit angry after all.
The Nuketown map is due to be released on November 24th, with more post launch content coming to Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone on December 10th. Check out the roadmap below for a better look at what the post launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to look like.
