Mileena Is Finally Being Added to ‘Mortal Kombat 11’ Along With Rain and Rambo

NetherRealm Studios have announced which characters will be added to Mortal Kombat 11 via the second Kombat Fighter Pack and there are some fan favourites returning as well as a rather random surprise.

Long awaited character Mileena is finally making her return to the Mortal Kombat franchise following her execution in Mortal Kombat X. Following her death, fans vocally made their desire for Mileena to return very clear. She was added in to Kitana’s Friendship animation by popular demand but she is now back as a fully-fledged character. Hopefully the developers were planning her comeback beforehand too and weren’t just coerced by demanding fans. It is likely her return was planned though due to her position as one of the most popular- if not the absolute most popular along with Scorpion and Sub-Zero- and recognisable Mortal Kombat characters. Even more so than the characters that she is a hybrid clone of: Kitana and Baraka.  is unclear how she will be making her return but clearly she is as savage as ever as we see her behead Baraka in the reveal trailer before performing so impressive gymnastics against one of the other new characters from the Kombat Pack: Rain. Rain is another character that was killed off in Mortal Kombat X so it is unclear how they will be returning or if these characters are alternate universe versions of themselves.

There is also a surprise character that makes an appearance in the trailer who will be joining the Mortal Kombat 11 roster: Rambo. Yes, it’s actually Rambo. Not only that, but he is being voiced by Sylvester Stallone himself. This is a bizarre world that we are living in. The character looks pretty decent- taking on his First Blood look- and his gameplay could be quite fun when you consider the kind of fire power that he could be packing. There have been plenty of none Mortal Kombat characters added to the roster via DLC- such as the Terminator, Joker and Spawn- so Rambo will probably fit right into the random roster of violent lunatics.

Dominic Cianciolo- Director of Story and Voiceover for NeatherRealm Studio- discussed the new characters in further detail on the PlayStation Blog, so make sure to have a read if you’re considering purchasing the second Kombat Pack.
