‘Minecraft’ teams up with ‘Jurassic World’ for a cool new DLC because dinosaurs

With the amount of content that been added to the worldwide phenomenon that is Minecraft since its release back in 2011, I’m honestly surprised it took this long for dinosaurs to make their debut. By teaming up with the 2015 Jurassic World movie- as we await the 2021 release of Jurassic World: Dominion– Mojang have released a DLC where players can tame dinosaurs and open their own dinosaur theme park. Because that always goes so well doesn’t it?

You can tame dinosaurs but also find DNA for various dinosaurs in the DLC so that you craft them yourself. This can only end well.

The DLC is out now- available for $7.99- and includes the ability to craft and train dinosaurs, build exhibits, manage your own Jurassic Park, use vehicles to investigate disasters (why does no one in the Jurassic universe ever learn from their mistakes??) and allows you to recruit a team of NPC’s and embark on an expedition to find new dinosaur DNA so you can craft new dinos. There are also new 21 new avatar skins including skins for Chris Pratt and Jeff Goldblum’s characters in the movies-Owen Grady and Ian Malcolm. There’s also a new hoodie in the character creator called the “Blue Hoodie” which lets you “blend in” with your prehistoric pets. Maybe they won’t eat you? They will probably still eat you. As well as all of that, there are also over 60 dinosaurs to craft and train. This also includes hybrids (again, how do you never learn not to crossbreed two very hungry man eating killing machines).

The DLC will allow players to accumulate scores during their time managing their park. The longer you keep your park open, the higher your score will be. So try your best to only get a small amount of guests eaten I guess. I really feel like that should not be a factor in maintaining a theme park.

You can buy the Jurassic World DLC for Minecraft now, so click here to check it out and have a look at the trailer below.
