30 Greatest Grammy Performances of all Time

by Ricky Fernandes da Conceição

The Most Iconic Grammy Performances and the Best Grammy Moments…

In its 60 plus years of existence, the Grammys have remained arguably the most exciting mainstream award show on the planet. Ever since the music’s best and brightest gathered in the Grand Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton in 1959, The Grammys have consistently delivered outrageous fashion, gasp-worthy unscripted moments, and — of course — incredible performances by some of the greatest musicians of our time. From Michael Jackson’s famed Moonwalk to Lady Gaga’s emotional David Bowie tribute to unexpected duets from the likes of Elton John and Eminem, the Grammys have had no shortage of unforgettable moments. After all, there’s a reason they call it Music’s Biggest Night!

And let’s be honest: The Grammys are hardly about awards— at least not for us the viewers. Every year we check in to see what everyone’s wearing and how well every artist performs. And every year, there’s always at least one artist who raises the bar, bringing the audience to its feet and tearing the roof of the auditorium.

With music’s biggest night on the horizon, let’s look back at the best, most iconic performances in the history of the Grammy Awards.
